Created in collaboration with artist Fatma Cankaya and USM Modular Furniture for the exhibition Positions on Freedom. Design and Its Boundaries, this project explored the tensions between freedom, identity, and social projection.

Drawing from Frankfurt subcultures and Fatma Cankaya's characteristic use of exaggeration and popcultural symbolism, we developed custom looks for the installation piece, that transformed familiar stereotypes into oversized, almost theatrical characters. Addressing themes of violence, addiction, and exploitation, the work questioned where empowerment ends and oppression begins — and whether both can exist simultaneously.
